Things I Want My Daughter To Know

I'll probably be adding to this list... forever. But here's what I have so far.

I want you to know...

+First and foremost, that you were created by a God who loves you and is passionate about winning your heart to Himself.
+That we love you, always.
+That life is often hard, but it is always worth living.
+That your beauty is not about your looks. It comes from your spirit, from the confidence you have within yourself, and from the way you choose to treat those around you.
+That you are incredibly blessed. Use those blessings to be a blessing.
+That you should always work hard at everything you do.
+That it’s okay to be different from everyone else. In today’s world, it’s probably a good thing.
+That good manners are always noticed. And appreciated.
+That forgiving someone for hurting you does not make you weak. And neither does asking for forgiveness. It gives you peace.
+That your education should never be taken for granted. Nor should it be viewed as a passport to privilege. Instead, use it to help people and to do what you love.
+That you learn something new every day.
+That laughter can light up a room.
+That you should always have high standards for yourself.
+That life is not about you. And that’s what gives it meaning.
